Ploieşti metropolitan area is a proposed metropolitan area project, launched in 2003 .[1][2]
It will be formed from Ploieşti municipality and surrounding communities: Ariceştii Rahtivani, Bărcăneşti, Berceni, Blejoi, Brazi, Bucov, Păuleşti and Târgşoru Vechi.[3]
